Animations linked to cycling
In 2010, returning from Travel, Gerry continues to dream of cycling… During his journey he became aware of the impact of this means of locomotion that sensitized and brought people together with a simple pedal stroke. In India, he saw men pedaling from village to village with modified bycicles, to which was added a grinding wheel to sharpen different blades. This is where the idea of using the energy of the bike came from. And it was by seeing the pleasure he could read in the children’s eyes when they ate a barbapapa that he had the idea to bind his two passions. Meaning putting a barbapapa machine on a bike, it changed the manufacture and consumption of this candy and made it become more “slow”. The younger and older ones pedal to make their barbapapi and yes it works !

Pro Vélo Valais
Safeguarding cyclists’ interests in Valalais is handled by the association PRO VELO Valais, which is primarly committed to promoting the use of bycicles on a daily basis. To do this, PRO VELO Valais acts as a lobby for soft mobility in the development of agglomeration policies.
For children and young people in formation, promoting cycling is one of the main objectives of PRO VELO. The association has the goal of reversing the trend that is emerging, a declining proportion of young people who travel by bicycle.
In order to give yougnsters a taste of cycling, the PRO VELO Valais instructors will propose a whole serie of fun activities on the Emosson dam! These courses are for children and adults.
